I hope the person that posted this story reads the comments. I read your story and decided this would be a great tradition to start for my parents. I saw something on the news about Christmas jars so my niece and I put together two jars with some money and handed them out to some people in need. I printed off your story and a little clip about the Christmas jars and put them in a white envelope on the tree. After all the gifts were opened I told my Mom to open the envelope and read it. I thought it would be a nice new tradition - I didn't realize it would bring the whole room to tears. Good, happy tears. Needless to say, the gift was a hit and I believe we have started a new tradition for our family. Thank you for sharing your story.

I really loved this story. I am sitting here trying to figure out if I have time to do something like this for my parents before Christmas. Thank you for sharing.
